How did our client create an original custom installation for their under-stair space using our 3D configurator?

When planning to furnish the space under a staircase, it’s common to face the challenge of making use of every available centimeter. 1. The Sloping Unit with Integrated Shelves and Drawers

Let’s start with the tallest part under the staircase. Our client needed a functional and aesthetic solution to optimize this corner. Thanks to our extensive range of finishes, they selected a sloping unit (right slope) in natural Bardolino oak and anthracite grey, blending perfectly with their interior. This combination of colors, both modern and inviting, brings an elegant and natural touch to the project.

On the left-hand side, the client designed a set of shelves that extend the full height of the furniture. These shelves provide ideal storage for books, decorative objects, or accessories. Under the lower slope, they added shelves and several drawers for easy access. The project also included custom dimensions with recessed fronts for drawers and shelving, making use of space while maintaining visual harmony.

2. Variable-Height Structure with Upper Doors

Next, the client wanted to add a variable-height structure to the upper part of the sloping unit. With our 3D configurator, they were able to play with dimensions and features, creating a more versatile and modular piece. This variable-height section, closed by anthracite grey doors, lets the client conceal the rear storage space and adds an appealing contrast to the Bardolino oak structure.

Adding doors ensures a flawless finish while providing a discreet touch to the entire piece. The client leveraged our configurator’s advanced features to fine-tune the height, depth, and door swing with millimeter precision, guaranteeing seamless integration within their available under-stair space.

3. Creating a Custom Wine Cellar

 

Another key challenge for our client was integrating wine storage in a rear sloping unit. The 3D configurator enabled them to design a sloping cabinet dedicated to a custom wine cellar, as well as two additional rear sloping cabinets with drawers. The wine cellar unit was conceived to make optimal use of space while featuring tailored compartments for each bottle through integrated dividers.

The three drawers, equipped with Blum sliding systems with soft-close and full extension, provide easy access to accessories and other wine-related items. These drawers also help better organise everyday items while ensuring ergonomic excellence.

4. Perfect Finish with Swing Doors

To complete this custom under-stair commission, our client chose to add three swing doors in the central area, arranged horizontally above the rear sloped cabinets. These swing doors, matching the style of the whole piece, bring both practicality and elegance. They’re perfectly adapted to the forced dimensions of the sloping drawers (as described in Step 1).
