One of the most important details for successfully integrating under-staircase furniture is managing the junction between your furniture and the stair stringer (the side structure of your staircase).
The main challenge with under-staircase furniture is concealing the empty space between the furniture casing and the staircase structure.
By slightly extending your doors upwards (overlay doors), you visually cover the stringer of your stairs. The stringer is the angled element that supports and carries the stair treads.
This creates a perfect junction: the top of the furniture is no longer visible—just a smooth line that follows the angle of your steps.
1) Go to the “Door” tab
2) Then, click on a door in the 2D view
3) Access “Forced dimensions,” then “Front enlargement”
4) Enter the desired dimension* in order to extend the door front upwards and cover your stringer.
5) Next, apply this same forced dimension to all relevant doors by clicking each one in the 2D visualization
*Important: First, determine how many millimeters you want the doors to extend, then add about fifteen millimeters to this value. This addition is necessary, as the angle of the staircase affects the final dimensions.
In any case, we recommend verifying your measurements with the “ruler” tool available in our configurator. Measure the exact dimension from one point to another, as shown below. This will provide the precise dimension by which your doors will extend past your furniture.
The very tip under the stairs is often overlooked, as it is considered too narrow.

Simply place your drawer or door at the tip in the 2D visualization of the configurator, and it will automatically adjust with a triangular front.
